One of the top five clinical illnesses worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), is headache. Headache issues have traditionally been treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Studies in contemporary medicine have focused on a variety of treatments, including herbal TCM therapies and physical TCM therapy, because they are beneficial in treating headaches. A number of clinical practise guidelines (CPGs) for TCM headache treatment have been created. To our knowledge, no critical evaluation of the recommendations for TCM headache treatment has been done. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) and acetaminophen are the standard treatments for headache disorders, although patients are becoming more interested in complementary and alternative therapies (CAM). The number and calibre of headache and/or migraine CPGs that incorporated CAM suggestions were examined in this study, which revealed that various CPGs can be used to support healthcare professionals' informed decision-making so that they can better inform and support their patients.
